In 1993, the world discovered the Sanderson sisters, the three evil witches who were resurrected every time there was a full moon on the eve of All Saints’ Day, as long as a virgin lit a candle with a black flame. Winnie, Mary and Sarah, played by actresses Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker, respectively, starred in this horror comedy titled The Witches Return, which almost immediately became a classic to be enjoyed every October, with the arrival of the Halloween holiday.
Now, the black candle is lit again by the hand of Disney + with the premiere of its sequel almost 30 years later, The Return of the Witches 2, which will be available on September 30 on the platform. In addition to the premiere, fans of the film or, simply, of the haunted houses, will be able to stay in a replica of the cabin inhabited by its three protagonists for the first time. And, how could it be otherwise, the terrifying house is located in the remote forests of Salem, in Massachusetts (United States).

The recreation of the cabin includes details such as wooden planks that creak with each step and even a cauldron with a mysterious potion.
The city of Salem, called the City of Witches, is only 40 minutes from Boston. His nickname comes from one of the most famous trials of all time: it was January 1692, in a town gripped by religious hysteria, when several young women were accused of practicing witchcraft. After a series of trials in which villagers began to point fingers at each other, the two courts eventually convicted 19 people — 14 women and five men — who were hanged. Over time, the macabre of the event ended up becoming a tourist attraction, making the small town of Salem, in addition to expressing its mea culpa in the form of a museum that explains the facts, has become a celebration of the figure of the witches .
The cabin, which can be reserved from next Wednesday, October 12 through Airbnb for a cost of 32 euros per night and will only be available on October 20, is one more example of this. The setting of the first and second films is lovingly recreated: on the outside, visitors will recognize the façade that has already become iconic in the first film, which includes a large water mill and the famous sign with information about the Museum of Sanderson Witches.

The original spell book is also found inside the Sanderson sisters’ cabin.

Inside, the fantasy grows: the dark cabin is full of details and surprises for guests, with long wooden planks that creak with every step, cauldrons, witches’ brooms, candles, potions and even the book of spells from the movie. “There will be everything you need, the beds, the sheets, the furniture, the dead man’s toe and the spiders,” actress Kathy Najimy, who reprises her role as Mary, joked in a conversation with the American media People.

After a day of spells, guests can sleep.
To complete the experience, while staying, guests can enjoy a tour of the town’s haunted houses and discover the true story of Salem.
This is not the first time that the Airbnb company has offered a replica of some of the best-known spaces in the audiovisual world: last year, on the occasion of the premiere of And Just Like That, the long-awaited sequel to the Sex and the City series, fans of the series had the possibility of staying in the apartment of Carrie Bradshaw. They also offered experiences as diverse as the possibility of staying in the house of Winnie The Pooh bear, in Will Smith’s mansion in The Prince of Bel Air or in the very Moulin Rouge in Paris.
