Brad Pitt responds to Angelina Jolie’s accusations: “She is reinventing something that happened six years ago”

The divorce between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie has become a war that never seems to come to an end. Immersed in a legal battle for the properties that the former couple still have in common in the French countryside and for the custody of their children, the actress has accused her ex-husband – as it has been known thanks to a series of documents published on Tuesday by the newspaper The New York Times—beating her and one of her children during a trip in 2016. Pitt’s response, with his representative as spokesperson, has taken just 48 hours to arrive.

Although some details of what happened on board the private plane in which the family was traveling six years ago were already known (during which various versions have been published, always on the side, always unofficial), it has not been until now when Jolie’s version has been known through this complaint, which details the incident that ended the marriage of one of the most established couples in Hollywood after 12 years of relationship. The actress and director revealed that in 2016 — while they were returning to California (USA) — her then-husband mistreated both her and two of her children after an argument on her private plane. “Pitt grabbed one of the boys by the neck and slapped another in her face and grabbed Jolie by her head as he shook her,” the interpreter’s complaint document states. which also details that he poured wine and beer on the children. The incident began when the actor and producer accused the actress of being “too considerate” with minors and began yelling at her in the bathroom. The alcohol, according to the version of the actress, and the blows came later and ended up destroying their relationship.

After the news, the star of The fight club has reappeared and has been photographed with a serious face in Los Angeles, California, after the statements of his ex-wife. Although he has not wanted to respond publicly to the accusations, he has done so through his representative in statements to The Hollywood Reporter: “She continues to repeat, revise and reimagine her description of an event that happened six years ago by adding completely false information. every time you don’t get what you want. Her story is constantly evolving.” Just two lines that show that Pitt has not liked the new judicial and media strategy of his ex-wife at all and that, furthermore, he does not intend to remain silent regarding some serious accusations that question him and that can harm the career of him.

In a lawsuit that the actress has filed in court, Jolie assures that the alleged abuse was investigated by an FBI agent, but the case was closed in November 2016. It all started on the way back from a trip to Château Miraval, a vineyard of almost 500 hectares that the couple had in common in France. They began buying shares of the farm in 2008, closing the deal for $60 million in 2011. Three years after their purchase, they got married on the farm. In addition, the luxurious residence had Johnny Depp and the Beckhams as neighbors. After the divorce, both the land and the business it generates have been subject to a back and forth of complaints from both parties.

Pitt’s lawyers claim Jolie sold her share of the company a year ago for $164 million. A sale that would violate the agreements of the couple who, according to the actor’s lawyers, had previously agreed that neither could sell their part if the other did not give the green light to the operation. Oblivious to this agreement, the actress closed the sale of her part with Tenute del Mondo, a company that is part of the gigantic alcoholic beverage consortium owned by the Russian oligarch Yuri Shefler. Now, the interpreter has released a line of cosmetics, Le Domaine, with products from half of his vineyards. Some vineyards whose future, like that of their owners, is increasingly in the air.
